Mary Miller, PhD, is the Director of 211 Data Projects at United Way Worldwide, where she supports data work at 211s and United Ways. Mary has participated in public health partnerships and data sharing collaboratives through a variety of roles and brings perspective from her experiences leading a cross-sector partnership at a community-based partner, then supporting local collaboratives through a convener role at a local United Way.
Prior to joining United Way Worldwide, Mary worked at the United Way of Hampton Roads in multiple roles, leading projects focused on data integration, shared measurement and care coordination. This included developing a regional indicators dashboard of more than 250 indicators, and a developmental screening initiative. She fostered data sharing across regional, state, and national partners by creating data sharing and visualization tools and facilitating improvement processes. In addition, Mary has led program evaluations for federally-funded education projects and national nonprofit initiatives and pilots.
Mary earned a Doctorate in Teaching and Learning at Ohio State University. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in English from the University of North Carolina (Charlotte), and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Hispanic Studies from the College of William and Mary.
