Melissa Acree
Chief Executive Officer
NJ 211 Partnership
Melissa Acree has served as Chief Executive Officer of the NJ 211 since May 2017, bringing vision and leadership to New Jersey’s primary 24/7 human services referral system. Her journey with NJ 211 began in 2013 when she launched a professional training and development program for the organization. In 2016, she transitioned into the role of Director of Business Development, where she pioneered the ReachNJ hotline to support those affected by the opioid overdose crisis. As CEO, Melissa guided NJ 211 through pivotal initiatives, including leading the rollout of a three-year strategic plan in 2022 in collaboration with the Board of Trustees and executive team. Her leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic was particularly noteworthy as NJ 211 scaled up operations over 22 months to meet the urgent needs of residents across the state. Under her stewardship, NJ 211 has expanded its capabilities and impact. She also plays an active role beyond state borders, engaging with the national 211 network to advance broader initiatives and best practices.
