Kim Torguson serves as the senior director of public relations at United Way Worldwide where she is responsible for generating and executing public relations strategies to elevate awareness, credibility, and visibility of United Way.
Over the past two decades in the public relations and strategic communications space, Torguson has held various senior-level communications positions spanning federal, city, nonprofit, and private sectors.
Most recently, Torguson served as the Director of Communications at the Education Development Center, where she led efforts to elevate awareness of 988—the nation’s first-ever suicide and crisis lifeline. Before then, she served as the Director of Communications at the Department of Behavioral Health in Philadelphia. Torguson started her career at the U.S. Senate.
Torguson received her BA from Hofstra University and resides in Reston, Virginia with her husband, two kids (Rory and Parker), and dog (Ollie).
