As Director of 211 Strategic Partnerships at United Way Worldwide (UWW), Emily leads and supports development of strategic partnerships to increase the impact and financial sustainability of the 211 and United Way networks, in service of United Way’s mission to build strong, equitable communities where all can thrive.
Before joining UWW, Emily was Deputy Director of Strategy and Operations at the Walton Family Foundation, where she led strategic planning processes and operational excellence initiatives to increase the impact of the organization’s $400M+ in annual grantmaking. Prior to that, she was a strategy consultant with Accenture’s U.S. federal government consulting practice. In this capacity, she led strategic projects for multiple federal civilian agencies focused on digital transformation, strategic planning and performance management, and customer experience.
Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Richmond, a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree from the University of Michigan, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Michigan. She has provided pro-bono strategy consulting support to multiple nonprofit organizations in the Washington, D.C. area and served on the Board of Directors of The Mary Elizabeth House Inc. for six years. She lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband and two young children (who are her current hobbies!).
