LaKeysha I. Fields, L.M.S.W.

LaKeysha Fields is a Licensed Master Social Worker who believes that the provision of quality services requires having responsive program initiatives, ongoing staff development, and engagement with social infrastructures. She has been a social services professional for 18 years, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology from Northwestern University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. Ms. Fields is the Associate Divisional & St. Louis Regional Social Services Director at The Salvation Army Midland Division, covering 114 counties of Missouri and the southern 50 counties of Illinois. In this capacity she manages several socio-economic development programs, ensures divisional compliance with social service standards, and oversees emergency, transitional, and permanent housing projects in the St. Louis bi-state region. Her creation of the cutting-edge program, Pathway to Health, has garnered national attention due to its focus on eliminating health disparities between African American’s and others and was included in an official report to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. LaKeysha is also a national trainer for The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services and a leader in disaster recovery, offering expertise and guidance at national conferences as well as to groups in need of guidance. She is co-creator of A Social Vulnerability Assessment operationalized in disaster recovery sectors, adopted both locally and nationally. She has been a contributor to several publications including Faith in Action and The Salvation Army’s Casework Certification Training Manual. Ms. Fields has over a decade of experience as a speaker and facilitator supporting capacity building in social services and other professional development topics. Motivated by her faith in God and people, LaKeysha believes that investing in hope produces the greatest good for all.
