Karla Wesley, Ph.D. is UWW's Vice President of Learning & Leadership Development. Karla leads the creation of United Way specific training in Leadership, Fundraising, Community Impact, Brand, and more on the network learning management system, UW Learn, and spaces for the network to learn and connect within over 40 network communities in the peer-to-peer learning platform, UW Connect. Karla also leads the Next-Generation Leaders Initiative, which is rapidly growing a global cohort of future-ready leaders. Before United Way, Karla led capacity building of civil society organizations in 65 countries with the U.S. Peace Corps. Her best day is when she and her team have helped a United Way succeed in serving their communities.
