Brittney Roy serves as program director for health at the National Governors Association, overseeing initiatives focused on public health and healthcare delivery. In her role, she spearheads policy efforts to address the multifaceted challenges within the public health and healthcare landscape, including tackling social drivers of health, promoting disease prevention and management, enhancing cost and coverage mechanisms, advancing health equity, and improving maternal and child health outcomes. Roy supports Governors and their advisors in shaping policies that have a tangible impact on the health and well-being of communities nationwide.

Before her tenure at the NGA, Roy served as a senior advisor in the Arkansas Governor’s Office, covering public health, welfare, and labor. Through her previous roles, she honed her policy development and advocacy skills, gaining invaluable experience that informs her current work at the intersection of healthcare and public policy. Roy's dedication to improving health outcomes and fostering equitable access to healthcare underscores her commitment to serving the greater good and driving positive change at the state, territory, and national levels.

Roy, who is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, holds a master’s degree in public administration and non-profit management.
