Daniel Fitzmaurice (he/him) is a strategic leader focused on advancing community-centered policy and systems change. As Director of Advocacy at United Way of Connecticut, he leads coalition efforts to establish a CT Child Tax Credit and improve outcomes for ALICE families. His background spans the arts, education, and nonprofit leadership, with past roles at Americans for the Arts, the Arts Council of Greater New Haven, the Connecticut Arts Alliance, Creative Arts Workshop, and Elm Shakespeare Company. He has spearheaded initiatives including New Haven’s Cultural Equity Plan, the Greater New Haven Creative Sector Relief Fund, and Create the Vote CT. His commitment to equity is grounded in ongoing learning, including training through the Cultural Equity Learning Community and Undoing Racism.
