Ashley is the Director of Public Policy and Advocacy at United Ways of Texas and has over 14 years of experience in public policy & advocacy. Previously, Ashley served as a deputy at HHSC’s Office of Minority Health, director of child welfare policy at Texans Care for Children for over five years, and as a caseworker for Child Protective Services in Travis County, TX for over four years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in social work from UT-Austin. Ashley is a 7th generation Texan committed to making Texas a stronger, fairer place to live and work and currently lives and owns a brewery in Bastrop County, Texas with her husband, Todd.
