Kevin Middleton

United Way of Kentucky
Kevin T. Middleton serves as President for United Way of Kentucky, which promotes and supports the work of Kentucky's twenty-one United Way organizations in their efforts to expand opportunity for all. Kevin has over 24 years of non-profit expertise, with over 19 years guiding conversations that lead people and organizations to reach measurable outcomes. He is a skillful communicator, facilitator, trainer and fundraiser, and has helped executives, boards and staff shape their work to improve lives and change communities.
Kevin serves as Vice Chair for the national United Way Council of States collaborative, as administrator for the Kentucky Employees Charitable Campaign, State Director for the Kentucky 211 information and referral service, and has administered over $1 million in grant funding to implement the United Way Born Learning Academy parent-as-teacher workshop series throughout Kentucky’s elementary school districts. He was appointed as a Commissioner to Serve Kentucky (formerly known as the Kentucky Commission on Community Volunteerism and Service) by former Governor Matt Bevin in June 2019, and serves on the public policy committee for the Kentucky Nonprofit Network, the Strong Start Kentucky coalition and Kentucky Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (KYVOAD). He served on the coalition to expand Kentucky’s Children’s Health Insurance Program to families without coverage, co-created the now annual United Way “Live United Day” at the Capitol, and managed the administration of two annual AmeriCorps grants in St. Louis, Missouri.
Kevin holds a BA, Psychology from Missouri State University and is a graduate of the Leadership Kentucky Class of 2018.
